How your data is handled.
Two forms, one newsletter and audience analytics you can refuse. No advertising pixels, no profiling of individuals — this page says exactly what is collected, why, and how to remove it.
Who is responsible
Data controller: JJ Delgado / Juan José Delgado Soriano, acting in a personal capacity. Requests to access, correct, delete or object to the use of your data go to together@jjdelgado.xyz and are handled personally.
The newsletter
What is stored: your email address, the language you signed up in, the page you signed up from, the moment you consented and the moment you confirmed. IP addresses are never stored in readable form — only a one-way hash, kept as consent evidence and to stop automated abuse.
Why: your consent, given twice. Subscribing writes a pending record; nothing is sent until you click the confirmation link. Unconfirmed records expire.
Leaving: every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and mail clients that support one-click unsubscribe are honoured. No retention prompts, no survey.
The contact form
What is stored: your name, organization if you give one, email address, the reason you selected and your message — plus any qualification fields you chose to complete.
Why: to answer you. Enquiries are read and replied to; they are never added to the newsletter, and they are never used for unsolicited outreach.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to measure audience. It sets cookies, so it is loaded only if you accept it: under Google Consent Mode v2 consent defaults to denied for analytics and advertising storage, and refusing means the tag is never loaded. You can change your choice at any time through “Cookie preferences” in the footer. Advertising signals, ad personalisation and Google Signals are disabled, and IP addresses are anonymised.
A second, cookieless product-analytics layer records the same events without cookies, cross-site identifiers or personal profiles. What is measured either way: page views and a small set of intentional events (an enquiry succeeded, a newsletter signup succeeded, a speaking or book link was clicked). Email addresses, names, message contents and tokens are never sent to analytics.
Who else processes it
Hosting and application infrastructure, the managed database that stores form submissions and subscribers, the email delivery provider used for newsletter confirmation and delivery, and the analytics provider described above. Each processes data only to run this site.
How long it is kept
Newsletter records are kept while the subscription is active, and after unsubscribing only the minimum needed to honour the request. Unconfirmed signups are expired rather than mailed. Enquiries are kept as long as the conversation is relevant, then removed.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, a copy in portable form, or restriction of processing — and you can withdraw newsletter consent at any time without giving a reason.
Requests are answered without charge. If you are in the EU or the UK and are not satisfied with the response, you may complain to the data protection supervisory authority in your country.
